    This is a rare advertising standee used to promote the
    Theatre Guild revival of the FERENC MOLNAR comedy "THE GUARDSMAN" at the Garrick Theatre in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. (The Original Broadway production opened October 13th, 1924 at the Garrick Theatre in New York City and ran for 248 performances. This engagement opened December 3rd, 1928 in Boston and ran for two weeks.) ..... The play starred ALFRED LUNT as "The Actor" and LYNN FONTANNE as the "Actor's Wife" and the cast included ERNEST COSSART, JANE WHEATLEY, HORTENSE ALDEN, HANNAM CLARK and GENEVA HARRISON .....
