This is a rare September 2nd, 1929 playbill from the Original Broadway production of the GEORGE GERSHWIN, IRA GERSHWIN, GUS KAHN and WILLIAM ANTHONY McGUIRE musical comedy "SHOW GIRL" at the Ziegfeld Theatre in New York City. (The production opened July 2nd, 1929 and ran for 111 performances.) ..... The musical starred DOROTHY STONE and the comedy team of LOU CLAYTON, EDDIE JACKSON and JIMMY DURANTE and featured EDDIE FOY, JR., CALVIN THOMAS, MURINE HOLMES, BARBARA NEWBERRY, ANDY JOCHIM, ALTHEA HEINLY, FRANK McHUGH, HOWARD MORGAN, DORIS CARSON, KATHRYN HEREFORD, AUSTIN FAIRMAN, JOSEPH MACAULAY, SADIE DUFF, HARRIET HOCTOR, DIXIE DUGAN, BUDDY DOYLE, the ALBERTINA RASCH GIRLS and DUKE ELLINGTON and his Band .....
