This is a rare October 11th, 1958 playbill from the one-night, concert engagement of the LILLIAN HELLMAN, LEONARD BERNSTEIN and RICHARD WILBUR musical "CANDIDE" at the Lyric Theatre in Baltimore, Maryland. (The Original Broadway production opened December 1st, 1956 at the Martin Beck Theatre in New York City and ran for only 73 performances.) ..... The musical starred ROBERT ROUNSEVILLE, IRRA PETINA (both Original Cast members) and MARTYN GREEN and featured MARY COSTA, LEE BERGERE, CHARLES MAY, JACK MATTHEW, CLAIRE ALEXANDER, JEANNE BEAUVAIS, RALSTON HILL, VERONICA KUSMIN, LUBA TCHERESKY, SHIRLEY DELP, PAUL VEGLIA, WAYNE McINYRE and CHARLOTTE PIERSON .....
