This is a rare July 3rd, 1956 playbill from the one-week, Summer Stock engagement of the MILES MANDER, FRED SCHILLER and THOMAS DUNPHY comedy "COME ON UP, RING TWICE" at the Capri Theatre in Atlantic Beach, Long Island, New York. (The original production toured cross-country as "Come On Up", opening May 20th, 1946 at the Oakland Auditorium in Oakland, California and closing February 22nd, 1947 at the Biltmore Theatre in Los Angeles, failing to arrive on Broadway. The production was retitled "Come On Up, Ring Twice" in 1956 when it toured the Summer Stock circuit.) ..... The play starred the legendary MAE WEST and featured DOUGLAS ODNEY, ALBERT BERGH, RAND ELLIOT, SAUL DAVIS, WILLIS CLAIRE, ROSETTA CRAWFORD, CLAUDINE LEDUC, JEROME GUARDINO, BILL FLETCHER, STEPHEN WARING, REMO PISANI, ED MOORE, CHUCK KRAUSE, BOB PELIZZA, FRED CONKLIN, MICHAEL BROWNE, LOU RUGGIERO and STANLEY WAREN ..... CREDITS: Book by MILES MANDER, FRED SCHILLER and THOMAS DUNPHY; Adapted by MAE WEST; Directed by HERBERT KENWITH; Produced by WAREN PRODUCTIONS ..... CONDITION: With the exception of minor soiling to the cover, the start of a split at the bottom seam, moderate creasing and a small piece of tape on the back cover, this playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
