    This is a rare June 1969 playbill from the Summer Stock engagement of the ROBERT ANDERSON series of plays "YOU KNOW I CAN'T HEAR YOU WHEN THE WATER'S RUNNING" at Playhouse in the Park near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. (The production opened March 13th, 1967 at New York's Ambassador Theatre, moved to the Broadhurst Theatre on June 24th, 1968 and ran for 756 performances while simultaneously playing on the road.) ..... Divided into four separate plays, "THE SHOCK OF RECOGNITION", "THE FOOTSTEPS OF DOVES", "I'LL BE HOME FOR CHRISTMAS" and "I'M HERBERT", the production starred MAUREEN O'SULLIVAN and JACK GILFORD and featured ROBERT ELSTON, LYNN MILGRIM and JACK MURDOCK ..... CREDITS: Book by ROBERT ANDERSON; Sets designed by CLARKE DUNHAM; Directed by JACK SYDOW; Produced by LEE GUBER and SHELLY GROSS ..... DETAILS: The 50 page playbill measures 6" X 9" inches and includes full production credits, cast list, synopsis of scenes, bios of each of the actors and wonderful vintage advertising but with the exception of the front cover, no cast photos ..... CONDITION: With the exception of light edge wear, this playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or historian.
