I'm currently listing a large number of playbills from out-of-town tryouts prior to the Broadway runs. Many are from early performances when revisions were common and include song titles that were cut before opening in New York ....... This is a rare September 2nd, 1963 playbill from the Pre-Broadway tryout of the MEREDITH WILLSON musical "HERE'S LOVE" at the National Theatre in Washington, D.C. (The production would open October 3rd, 1963 at the Sam S. Shubert Theatre in New York City and run for 334 performances.) ..... The musical starred JANIS PAIGE, CRAIG STEVENS and LAURENCE NAISMITH (all shown in the cover photo with composer MEREDITH WILLSON) and featured Fred Gwynne, Diane Ball, Michael Bennett, Duane Bodin, Debbie Breen, Elaine Cancilla, Kathy Cody, Patrick Cummings, Ceil Delli, Larry Douglas, David Doyle, Suzanne France, Penny Gaston, William Griffis, Cliff Hall, Del Horstmann, Reby Howells, Gene Kelton, Ronnie Kroll, Mara Landi, Baayork Lee, Valerie Lee, David Lober, Sal Lombardo, Mary Louise, William Louther, Bob McClure, Terrin Miles, Hal Norman, Patti Pappathatos, Paul Reed, Sandra Roveta, Arthur Rubin, Darrell Sandeen, Carolsue Shaer, John Sharpe, Bill Stanton and Leesa Troy .....
