Description
Next-LCD is a fully versatile and autonomous measuring device. All measured characteristics are displayed directly on the display in the form of numbers and graphs. The closedness of the software environment of the device eliminates inaccuracy readings. The device has two lab-bus digital bus ports to which pressure sensors, microphones or power sensors can be connected. This makes Next-LCD a fully versatile and cascadable tool. By purchasing, for example, a sound pressure measurement kit, in the future, the user can add it with a microphone for measuring frequency response or a power sensor for measuring current and voltage. It is possible to work with two signal sources simultaneously. The built-in generator of sound signals of various forms (sine, white and pink noise) works in the background mode in parallel with the measurements. Next-LCD can be connected to a PC via a USB port for control or data transfer, for example, when display of measured values on a large screen is required.
Software features
SPL mode for measuring peak sound pressure values with the ability to display the spectrum and shape of the measured signals. Work with two sources of signals simultaneously. Distortion Detector (Clip).
AVG mode for measuring weighted average sound pressure values over time. Work with two sources of signals simultaneously.
RTA mode for measuring the average frequency response with the ability to display the spectrum and shape of the measured signals. Displays a split spectrum into octaves. Distortion Detector (Clip)
PWR mode for measuring AC / DC current and voltage, power, signal frequency, non-linear distortion (clip). Work with two sources of signals simultaneously.
GEN mode. Background stereo generator of test signals: sinuses, pink noise and white noise.
CON mode for connecting to a PC. Allows you to configure and transmit digitized information for detailed analysis in the Spl-Lab Measuring Center software.
Ergonomics
The Next-LCD device is designed as a monoblock with a backlit graphic display, 8 control buttons, a USB port for connecting to a PC and charging, two Lab-Bus ports for connecting sensors, two RCA-type audio signal generator outputs, a power switch and a three-color LED to indicate the status and charge level of the battery. The case of the device is made of impact-resistant plastic.
